Sarnia's WAKE-up Call will feature a professional wakeboard and wakeskate competition. The riders will take part both on land and on water in a weekend long event. We will be using The Buckeye Marine inflatable pools (starting pool = 40ft and landing = 80ft) with a massive slider transfer for the on land winch jam.
The riders will also be competing behind a Mastercraft X-Series boat on the water for their chance to show their skills to the SWUC crowd. We will be introducing a 25 foot slider to the water portion of this event as well.
The wakeskaters will hit the water based on the conditions but we intend to run a winch jam on the beach if the water is too rough.

Sarnia’s WAKE-up Call will be introducing an amateur competition to the event this year. This portion of the event will be towed behind a Mastercraft X-Star. Each rider will be entitled to have 2 passes behind the boat for their chance to move on further in the competition. The top riders will then be selected to move on to the finals in their efforts to battle to find the top amateur rider at Sarnia’s WAKE-up Call. If you happen to place in the top riders, you will be invited to come and compete/take part in the on land winch jam. The top two amateur riders will also be invited to return for 2010 and compete in the professional division of Sarnia’s WAKE-up Call.

Team Fun Watersports and Boarder Town are teaming up once again this weekend to teach you how to wakeboard and/or wakeskate! Come on out between the hours of 7pm - 9pm on Friday, July 24th during Ribfest and learn to wakeboard. If you already know how to, then strap up and hit our 24ft slider. Rides are $20 for the hour (5 pulls) and an additional $10 if you want to hit the slider.
